    Cherrywood Kennels was established as an LCA
    Member Kennel in 1990 by Ann  Rogers. It is
    located in the northeastern Ohio town of
    Grafton, about 40 miles SW of Cleveland.

    Cherrywood Kennels' goal is to produce
    Leonbergers with the best type, temperament
    and health possible, and to place each in a home
    that will ensure an enjoyable and conscientious
    human/canine relationship for the life of the dog.

    We strive for quality, not quantity and since 1993
    Cherrywood has produced 143 puppies. Of those,
    13 have added to the Leonberger gene pool, and
    of those 13, I have owned or co-owned 7. I'm
    always looking for  serious, conscientious, and
    experienced show/breeding homes and am more
    than willing to mentor serious, potential
    exhibitors and breeders.

Thanks to the dedication and co-operation of many
international Leonberger owners and breeders, our
researchers, and the generosity of the LHF and the
AKC CHF, we now have a genetic test available for the
LPN1 mutation which causes severe, early onset
Leonberger polyneuropathy.
